Escrevo
agora da capital e maior cidade do Uruguai, Montevidéu!
Nesses
dias que passamos aqui, visitamos os pontos turísticos mais importantes da
cidade: conhecemos o Portal da cidade, Palácio Legislativo, Mausoléu Artigas,
Parque dos Aliados e Monumento La Diligência. Conhecemos também os elegantes
bairros residenciais de Carrasco, e a excepcional “Rambla” (nossa beira-mar)
que muitos comparam com a famosa praia de Copacabana/RJ. Tivemos a oportunidade
de almoçar no tradicional Mercado do Porto, e também visitar e fazer algumas
comprinhas no maior shopping do País, Punta Carretas!
Amanhã
seguimos viagem para Colônia de Sacramento, reconhecida pela UNESCO como
Patrimônio da Humanidade. De lá, cruzaremos a Foz do Rio del Plata de ferry
boat até a tão esperada capital da Argentina, Buenos Aires. Essa travessia é muito
utilizada entre Argentinos e Uruguaios para encurtar a viagem em várias horas:
o tempo do “barco rápido” é de 1:20!

I write now from the capital and
biggest city of Uruguay, Montevideo!
On the days we spent here we
had the chance to know the most important touristic spots of the city! We
visited the Port of the city, Palácio Legislativo, Mausoléu Artigas, Parque dos
Aliados and Monumento La
Diligência. We also went around the fancy and rich neighborhoods
of Carrasco and we also visited the amazing “Rambla” (road between the river
and the buildings) that a lot of people find similar to the famous Copacabana
beach, in Rio de Janeiro. We had the chance to have lunch at the traditional
“municipal Market” of the city, and do some shopping at a mall!
Tomorrow morning we will
continue our journey to Colônia de Sacramento, recognized by UNESCO as World
Heritage! From there, we will cross La Plata River Argentina ,
Buenos Aires
From the Tango city, we will
send more news!!
